Flaws in promoted listings express

Hello. I'm just posting to voice my concerns regarding the new promoted listings express feature for auctions.

I sell computers, and the price is $10 for promoted listings express in that category. A large portion of my auctions are for dated computers that fetch less than $50, and when the promotion price is $10, and I don't even get that money back if a buyer defaults on payment, it just doesn't make sense to promote. I feel the system negatively affects sellers who sell more affordable items in more expensive categories.

I think a better way would be to charge, for example, $3 if the auction is less than $50, $7 if between $50 and $200, and $10 if more than $200. This way, sellers of less expensive equipment are not impacted so negatively, especially because when everyone else is using promoted listings and you aren't, you make less money.

Please upvote/reply if you agree, I'd like to see I'm not alone in this.

Actually ebay reduce the "promoted listings express" fees only if you reduce the auction duration time.

Did you know that?

I've never promoted my old tech - it sells anyway (in fact, I've pretty much run out of inventory).
