GTC is my preferred way to list and has been for years.

7-day, 10-day, and 21-day listing = GTC with manual ending.
More work, but the capability is still there ...

You should not have to hate something you are doing. Try something different. Use auction format instead.
Good Luck Selling!

I absolutely hate good till canceled! I used to edit prices and such before I relisted my items. I had time to look at each one and see number of watchers and views etc. I could also keep better track of my fees that way. Some items I didn't even want to relist for awhile. Now if I try to edit an item right before it ends, it charges $.10 relisting fee but doesn't relist it. I get charged again when it ends and gets automatically relisted! Thanks eBay you know what we want.

I "tried" auctions and ended up with "winners" cancelling their bids and having to chase down non-payers BEWARE if you intend on trying to sell via auctions.
