First and last time selling

Been awhile since I've sold anything on eBay and won't bother in the future, as it's insanely biased towards buyers.

I thought the the spirit of eBay was to bring sellers and buyers together in realtime, to set the market.    The market changes from day to day, minute to minute, particularly for items that are time sensitive like hard paper event tickets.

What the heck am I missing, there's literally zero consideration for this!? -- yet I thought this was the entire spirit of the platform.

I could rant all night, but what the hell good does it do relisting an item or being reimbursed $2 in fees for something that now NOW, has ZERO value because the event passed, yet was GOLD the day prior or even 5 minutes ago, to meet a delivery deadline?

Add injury to insult, I can't even leave deadbeat feedback?  Gotta be kidding me!?

Is there something I'm missing?   Please don't tell me "don't wait until the last minute"-- the market changes by the minute and often SPIKES LIKE mad  at the last minute

eBay gave a lot of consideration to the unique apects of event tickets.

In fact they paid $300 million to purchase a company called StubHub - a marketplace that was designed from the ground up to handle event tickets.

Not every item is a good fit for eBay. Don't use a hammer to drive screws.

If you think that ebay is buyercentric with deadbeats, just wait until the fake snads come rolling in on you.

The local colleges gave them away around here.

You can turn a hammer into a screwdriver by using BIN with IPR.

From what I saw on the news there were a lot of counterfeit glasses floating around out there. The news told you how to tell which were real. Some of the SNADs may be deserved.

Yep, very true. I know Amz refunded all of their fake glasses.

eBay does bring Sellers & Buyers together in realtime ... but for every purchase or listing time runs out, period.  If you were running an Auction then you should know Buyers do NOT have to pay immediately.  If the items were Fixed Price with immediate payment there would have been no issues as long as you could ship on time due to the time sensitive event you are talking about ... apparently the market does not "spike" all the time like you thought ... sorry you had a bad Selling experience ...

If you had 100 sales and were unhappy with performance, that would be a serious matter.  But it makes little sense to judge the merit of anything on only one try.

Not just for this OP,

but it'll be interesting to see if the boards get flooded with these sellers,

encountering SNAD cases.

Over priced item.  One time event.
