First “Send Offer” that worked :)

Well, finally!

I’ve dabbled with the “Send Offer to Buyers” feature, with no luck until now.

Someone finally bit!

Woo hoo!

I had an item on my watch list that if the seller had offered me 10% off I definitely would have purchased it.

After reading your message I went ahead and purchased it anyway.  Spreading the ebay good cheer!

As a seller, none have worked for me.  As a buyer, I accepted one offer...then it cam from Amazon as a "gift".  😕

I tried it for the first time today. Made 20 offers, had one immediate sale. Knocked off 15 -20 % so here's hoping I get a few more bites.

Still not working for me.

My problem is that when I click on that button "SEND OFFER" message appears: "there is issue with sending your offer" in red at the top of page.
My question is: what to do to find out what the issue could be and how to fix it?

I noticed that when there are too many people watching, the send offer feature is absent. I have a pretty cool 1953 UK set that has 11 watchers, and I can't use this feature. The most watchers on anything on the list (when I sort from highest to lowest) is 4 watchers.

Happy for you! I have 6 watchers on a $900 item for local pick up. I decided to use that new feature on that last night myself. I need some of your luck!

Does anyone know if there's a cap for how many watchers can be watching an item to be eligible for this "send offer" feature? I'd really like to sell my GB coin set (and a few other things), but all the items with more than 4 watchers don't appear on the list of eligible items (and none of these are "new" items).

But FWIW... I started sending offers a couple of hours ago, and one bit... $24.00 down from $27.99 on a South African silver coin, it had one watcher, and he obviously bought it since that's the price it sold for.

Sending you luck with your $900 item...

The watchers have to be signed up in account preferences to get emails.    I had an item with 14 watchers and the offer only went to 6.

Number of watchers might be responsible, I think. Anyone good in mathematics, astrology or magic....?

In my auctions I have 1, 2, 5, 6, 10, 14 watchers and no SEND OFFER BUTTON is shown

then I have 11, 13, 52, 59 and SEND OFFER BUTTON is shown but when I click on it error in red displays " there is an issue processing your request". That's it

But, then I have auction with 7 watchers that SEND OFFER BUTTON is shown and when I click page displays to send offer info.

Go figure. Lucky seven?

Congrats to you - and thank you too for the "luck"! It's a 208 piece set of formal dining china including storage bags... I hate to sell it - I really love this gorgeous set, but we just don't entertain like we once did - big family holiday gatherings, weddings, church supper's... no one in the family needs another dish set, so it's time to let it go - value is about 1000 more than I am asking for. Just would like to know that all my care of it will be appreciated by the next family ...
