As many as you need, up to the max., to accurately describe your item.

As many as it takes to give a full description from all angles of the item.  Make sure the pictures are clear and can provide details of the object.  I usually list 4-6 photos given the item.  I use 2000 x 1500 pixels as well.

I usually post 10 to 12 pictures.  12 is the max.  I also include a description of what I am selling in words.

I always, always used all 12. Its not like they cost anything, other than a few seconds to take them and upload them, and they add to the description, especially on any used item. Even shrink-wrapped new items, it helps to add detail of box labels, etc.
