Firefox update, no bookmarks and problems

So, I got hit with this new Firefox update yesterday, All my bookmarks are one and when i try to restore there is no restore dates to pick from, just says choose file and opens my desktop. Its pretty inportant to have them for ebay and I just cant fine them. Anyone have a idea?

Sounds like a bummer.  What do the FireFox people have to say about it?  If you can't do a recovery that will definitely be annoying.

I once heard that the reason the dinosaurs went extinct is because it was the first time God's hard drive crashed.  Let's hope he has a better backup now.

I been on firefox support, you cant call them, i cant find out how to register to ask a question. You go to contact us and you just go around in circles and never get a message box or a email.

Google gives plenty of results to hunt through and try.

FWIW, I also upgraded in the past 48 hours (58.0.1 64-bit), no issues with anything.

Yeah, I know google well. I have spent atleast 3 hours now google, youtube, M support. no dice, there are no restore dates

Try searching your c: drive for .jsonlz4 files that appears to be the format for bookmark backups.

They include a date in the filename so you can use "choose file" to restore from the most recent backup.

You should find lots of .jsonlz4 files but the one you want will be much larger than the rest of them.

C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\goyv1rwz.default\bookmarkbackups\bookmarks-2018-02-06_8840_1urZ422J-JtcJr983nBWzw==.jsonlz4

This is the path on my computer, yours may be slightly different.
