Fees

Deferring fees is not any help to me.  I am going to have deferred taxes what I need is a break now.
how about a 50% break for a few month or waive our store fees or something tangible.
If we stop selling - EBay loses a lot so why not show real tangible support by not deferring but reducing fees?

Going by completed items on this account:

Your sales from Jan 1 to Feb 28 were $475.

Your sales from Feb 1 to Feb 28 were $675.

Your sales from Mar 1 to Mar 28 were $1050.

What has changed about your eBay business that makes you unable to pay your fees?

Why would you "stop selling"? it sounds like you need to generate cash and you won't get that by stopping selling. You might generate cash if you list more stuff and if you do make sales you get to keep about 85% and pay the rest in fees.

85% of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing and if eBay were to cut your fees in half then you would have 90% instead of 85%, would this really make a difference?

One other question, where should eBay get this money to reduce your fees? Should they take it from their 12,000 employees?

Fees

What I meant was, their offer of deferring fees does not help as much as say a reduction in fees, or discount on something.

The electric company, Verizon, cable company all offered something tangible, like more data, a rebate, a credit, something to HELP us when we are strapped.  Not deferring what will have to eventually pay. A fee reduction during covid would be a blessing, am I not right? Especially for us small sellers.

I cannot sell more, if I cannot go to the places I used to go to get things to sell, now can I?

How many of those Employees are in the United States?

I am in the United States, with state mandated controls bc of covid.

EBay always gets more, sellers always get less. Am I wrong?

Ebay is a global corporation with employees all over the world, including the United States where it began, so not understanding your point or question regarding how many employees are in the States.

Ebay is affected by the pandemic as we all are. I am not an eBay cheerleader or apologist but have to say I don’t feel as if i am entitled to a reduction of fees, especially when my business is doing well despite the global economic strains of the pandemic. I am still receiving the same level of service from eBay regardless of whatever internal struggles it must be facing during these hard times.

While i do not agree with some of eBay’s practices, all in all i have been modestly successful here. If i felt eBay was taking advantage of me in some way, if they were benefitting at my expense, giving me less and them more, i certainly would not be here.
