Feedback

when merchants ask for feedback, they provide a link only to the original Ebay advertisement, rather than to the order, so do not specify the number of items ordered nor which size, if various sizes were advertised. That may make it hard for the buyer to identify the purchase and so seller may not get the accurate feedback sought..

You are an experience buyer.  Most would most likely think you know where to go to leave feedback as there are a few ways in which to do it.

You can go to your FB [feedback] page.  Drop down to the bottom and there you will find a link so that you can leave FB for any transaction you have not yet done so on.

You can go to your Purchase History.  There is a button on the right side to leave FB for any of your purchased items you have not yet done so.

There are others I'm sure, but this should get you where you need to go.

Experienced sellers do NOT ask for feedback.

They may not like what they get for harrassing the buyer.

Feedback is voluntary.

EBay does NOT use feedback or DSRs to assess seller accounts.

New sellers are anxious to have feedback because it is a way to build customer trust, but there are better ways to encourage it.

Posting feedback on shipment is one effective way.

Buying from other sellers who leave feedback on shipment is another.

I've seen plenty of experienced sellers do this.  They shouldn't, but they do.  Over the years there has been many threads on the subject.

They of course shouldn't for the vary reasons you describe and that I fully agree with.

Every buyer can go to his Purchase History and find the item for which he wants to leave FB.

Are you, as a buyer, in the habit of ordering many, many similar items from the same seller?
