Fast N Free Logo, something is wrong!!!

There seems to be a lot of user acceptance type testing on eBay, using live selling as the test system...not a good practice. But this is my best guess.

I recently got the Top Rated Seller Plus status, but I don't see that id on any search listing like I see for others.  Sometimes I see my order discount promotion, and sometimes I don't. And today I don't see my "Fast N Free" on search listings or on the item page. So I checked the shipping to make sure, and I have it set as "flat" and "Expedited (1-3 days)" with "Same Day" handling.  No logo.  I changed shipping to USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days) and the logo shows on item page, not on search listings.  But I changed it back anyway, since I am not declaring the carrier, just the level of service as I have done forever now.  But eBay seems to be saying to me it won't honor that under Fast N Free, possibly because it performs some calculation in the background based on carrier, not service level?

Is this an error, an unintended change (defect), or some planned policy update?  I'd just like this stuff to be communicated eBay, like updating the seller platform and these are the new changes.   I know for a FACT that all my listings had Fast N Free logo up until recently, like this week.  And I almost never had a specific service, because 1) I don't want to commit to a carrier since my customers could be ANYWHERE, and 2) USPS First Class is not listed as an expedited option.

USPS First Class is mainly a weight thing, 2-3 days versus 1-3 days for Priority.  Generic "Expedited"  option is listed as 1-3 days.  Forget the fantasy os 1 day delivery, BOTH are within 3 days and by ALL measures that is expeditious!  And I should not have to say USPS Priority just to get the logo, as a 3oz pkg First Class is $2.61 and as Priority it is $6.94.   It's hard enough to sell a $2 item for $4 to a saavy customer and say it's FREE shipping, I can't sell it at $9!!  eBay pushed the Fast N Free logo stuff on me to 'boost' sales, and now it's no longer good enough.

Does anybody KNOW?  Not the typical response that tells me "to qualify for Fast N Free..."...I already know, and I do qualify. I'm asking "What gives?"  What is with the update?  The eBay page starts off  as if Expedited or Standard qualifies, then gets granular at the end with choosing a specific carrier/service. And for the record, I updated an item to USPS First Class specifically (this is under standard for some reason) and still no logo.

The eBay page below, with my comments in bold color.  I don't see it on almost ANY listings...and the ones I do offer generic "Exepedited"...something is up.  eBay, specifically CIO...stop using sellers as your test bed.  Test BEFORE release please!!!!

Boost Sales Up to 11%* When You Offer Fast 'N Free  Free shipping and fast delivery are often the final purchase considerations for buyers. To put these sales-driving services front and center, eBay displays the Fast 'N Free logo when:

  • The listing offers free shipping  (it does)
  • Both the buyer and the seller are in the US (they are)
  • There is a high probability that the item will be delivered within 4 business days or less (it will)

Buyers see the Fast 'N Free truck logo right on your item page and in search results
For the best possible chance of your listings displaying the Fast 'N Free logo, specify 1-day or same-day handling ( I have same day), and offer free expedited or standard shipping (I have tried both). Plus, when you offer same-day handling, you reduce your delivery estimate by a full day.

Automatic 5 stars for shipping
When the Fast 'N Free logo appears, and your item is delivered on or before the carrier's maximum published timeframe, any lower buyer rating for shipping time is automatically converted to 5 stars.

Follow these recommended best practices

  1. Offer free shipping on your listings
  2. Designate a specific expedited shipping method in your listing, like USPS® Priority Mail or FedEx® Express Saver (now specific, but again, Standard was an option, does not work)
  3. Provide 1-day or same-day handling  (I do)
  4. Provide precise item location (I do)
  5. Manually upload tracking, or use eBay labels to automatically upload tracking for you. (I do)

Fast N Free Logo, something is wrong!!!

I’m not that familiar with fast and free as I’m in Canada but the reason your listings don’t have the TRS plus badge is because you have a 14 day return policy rather than 30 days.

Missing Fast 'N Free logos and TRS badges may be seller specific glitch/bug issues.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Still-Missing-TRS-Badge-from-listings-CS-filed-report...

As pjcdn2005 said 30 day (or more) returns are a requirement for TRS+ and the TRS badge.

I saw a TRS badge on one of your listings I checked, but none in the search results, and no Fast 'N Free logos. Search results for my listings show both.

I have a 2day handling time, but I believe eBay ignores that and goes by actual shipping time performance, and also does estimated delivery date calcs based on past performance too)

Ummm I got fast and free on mine and I ship first class 90% of the time, and they are listed that way.

I hate photobucket right now... PS Answers given years ago may or may not be current now, please check with current posters to the boards to see if the information is still relevant.

You use the generic standard shipping which shows a 1-5 day delivery time. Specifying first class would show a faster delivery time by a day or two and would probably give you the fast and free logo.
