New soon-to-be-required item specifics will be available on October 12

We’re adding new item specifics in the below categories. The new item specifics will be required in early 2022, and will be available for you to add as you edit or create new listings starting October 12.

And why they pull this krap just before holiday selling season beats me.  They can't roll it out for the spring update?  But they do it every time.  Etsy does the same thing.  I don't think the powers that be have a clue how retail works.

Or that October is typically already in full-swing for the 4th quarter/Holiday time frame.  Sellers often limp along all year to make or break it in the 4th quarter.  So very glad I am not a jewelry seller.  Who at e-Bay thought it would be a great idea to mess with the jewelry category right ahead of the holidays??  Seriously, what gifts are they giving from Santa?
