We see a steady flow of posts here throughout the year from people who are shocked to see that ebay has done this or that, and these posts are often accompanied with "When on earth did ebay decide to do THIS????? Why didn't they tell us?"
Sometimes, this is due to an unannounced change. But it is often due to the fact that many sellers do not review the Seller Updates when they come out (or only skim the email notice, without reading the details).
So, Good News, Sellers! The Fall Seller Update is likely coming out soon (if the last three are any indication, it will be this Wednesday). If you can, you might want to clear some time in your schedule to review it , and to review the comments here. Also, I'm sure the valueaddedresource blog will provide a good summary.
What will it contain? I have no real idea. I have a few things I'm hoping to see, and lots of things I'm hoping NOT to see, but we won't know until it gets here LOL

Last "fall update" they mucked up the Automotive parts categories so bad that I had to go back in an fix all the categories because when they deleted some they just put a lot of my stuff in the "other parts" categories. I would love it if they would limit their "updates" to once a year and only focus on making NEW things instead of butchering what already exists. We could also care less about "cosmetic" updates too. Leave it alone. Simplicity is the best design.

One IS update in fashion meant we had a fabric content category for clothing made from alginate and wood. Boy, howdy! was I glad to see that so I could list all of those birch tree and alginate shirts I'd been holding back. 🤤
