Just sold some vintage Barbie stuff from my later sister's collection, and just 2 bids for $1.04 and a 99 cent start. Where are the buyers? Is anybody else selling anything?

Buyers are on vacations. Sells tend to dip during summer. Will pick up on the last weeks of this month or the beginning of next month.

Do not start stuff to low:
not worth the risk.

Very true! The system (ebay) says to start at 99 cents to "encourage bidding" but it doesn't work that way anymore. Start at the least you'll take for your item. Re-start the listing(s) again. Many cry while packing an item they lost at a dirt-low price. Do it now!!!

Unfortunately, someone got a deal, as you know.
We rarely do auctions for this very reason. No idea where the Buyers are. Many were probably also Sellers who are no longer here, many on vacation, back to school, facing evictions that were delayed for months and months, stimulus unemployment running out 9/6 and still no job with fair wage......
There are definitely some deals to be had on here right now. We were the only bid recently on a large lot of new/sealed legos than ran for 7 days and we did not bid until day 7. No one bid against us. Seller left $100-$150 on the table/min easy. You feel bad for these sellers as we sell also.....but a purchase is a purchase. Not the one who listed it, etc.
Sorry your auction went poorly. Please consider either a higher starting bid or BIN with immediate payment required. At least at $1.04, you should be able to expect payment, but who knows these days!

I don't have any use for auctions anymore.
They are too much of a hassle on several levels!
Only do BIN.

Where is this free money you speak of? I want it. 😉

I can't restart it. The buyer already paid. The auction is over.

I can't speak to the Barbie auctions, but when we were dealing with it, it was hard to give away, even 1970s/80s stuff.
TBH, I am fully aware that you don't want my opinion, but at first glance many of your items appear to be priced well above going prices. For example, the Apollo/Soyuz stamp sheet you want $125 for can be found here for less than $5 with free shipping (reference item number

Old Italian say: You Make money when you buy not when you are selling! The person won the doll from you made money ( when she resell it. got it? ) if you want to make money when you are a seller watch the marketplace , be knowledgeable knowing what you are selling and what is worth , competitor are good it is all depend by supply and demand , coins, stamps, railroad, dolls , miniatures etc. etc. are the most collectible items in the whole world, all items made in USA from the 1970 and under are worth money , do your homework, Thanks for reading

I went to look at your listing and realize now you were just selling doll "heads" and it looks as though some of those are not Barbie. Might be why you did not get much traction on the listing.

A few of those might be Barbie heads. The rest are definitely not. Your issue could be that you're unfamiliar with this category. Always list and sell what you know about or else do research before listing.

I just recently started an item at .99. It’s up to $9,000.00 with 5 days to go.

I looked at your sold listings and saw you gave nothing away. A bunch of worn out Barbie heads for $8.88 and two other lots, one for $22.50, and the other for $43.00 ?

1960s Barbie Heads (not the full doll in a mint box) are not as Vintage as 1960s G.I. Joe or Marx Lone Ranger Heads for salvage. Easy to figure that one out when it comes to 60s stuff, it is not necessarily an issue with demand. It would have been better to list those Barbie Heads as a Buy It Now for those female Gen X's or Baby Boomers who will spend to buy at the moment----but again, I don't see why they'd want a bundle of Barbie heads when what they are looking for are Mint condition in a Mint Box (or at least a box for that matter).
