FEEDBACK RULE CHANGE

Simple rule change for feedback...

If a buyer does not leave negative, neutral or positive feedback for a seller within 30 days,

positive feedback is automatically left for the seller.

Also, when a buyer makes a payment, positive feedback is automatically left

for the buyer.

Otherwise, the seller will only have a fraction of the feedback they disserve, and considering

that eBay uses feedback to determine if a seller is eligible for Power seller, Top Rated programs that offer discounted fees for sellers, it is unfair for sellers.

I am new to Ebay, yet on eBay I had 8 sales so far and only received 2 feedbacks.

My friend had 1300 sales on eBay and only received 500 feedbacks.

On Esty I had 252 sales and only had 27 feedback.

Most people do not leave feedback, even though the transaction went smooth.

Automating the process would save time for people and assure people get what they disserve.

FEEDBACK RULE CHANGE

This title appears to be a suggestion,  not a new rule. People are confused.

Feedback - Extended Auctions - FVF on shipping and on it goes.........

It never changes - same like five issues on an endless loop.

It's shocking to see how many buyers have never left FB but you are not really worried about it?

There  have been several times as a buyer where I’ve had a lousy transaction that was bad enough that I should have left a negative feedback, but it was forgivable to the point I didn’t  want to damage an otherwise good feedback profile of a seller who tried but honestly fell short.

I DO NOT want nor do I welcome anyone speaking for me and posting a feedback that is erroneous just because I was silent. Also, who would trust a feedback profile that could be filled with these “ attaboy, good job- you tied your shoes” feedbacks?

EBay does not use feedback to assess member accounts.

As long as your rating as a seller is over 98% you are fine.

Anyone who wants to check you out further can look on your Active Listings page and over on the left see what you have Sold in the past three months and at what prices.

Feedback is a relic of the 20th century internet, when users were all early adopters, and buying or selling from strangers thousands of miles away was scary and thrilling.

And not how we order dog food and Scrubbing Bubbles from a big box store.

It might be better to replace Feedback with a rating based on the number of sales along with the number of Disputes and Claims the member (buyer or seller) has been involved in, win or lose.

I know what I said.  But its true.   You can be shocked at seeing a buyer that has never left feedback.  But I honestly don't worry about whether I get any or not.  Its not like I cross examine buyers every time I sell something.  But occasionally I check a couple if they seem to be a troublemaker.  How a buyer leaves feedback can be a red flag, especially if they leave a lot of red.   I would actually prefer one that has never left any!  lol

Do you leave feedback on Amazon?

Yes, sometimes I have been asked to rate the transaction on Amazon, but again, it is voluntary.

The more items you sell and the more customers you deal with, the sooner you find out that the best customers are the ones who don't leave any reviews.

FEEDBACK RULE CHANGE

It is not going to happen.

Feedback is no longer important to Ebay or most sellers.

Ebay does not use feedback to measure seller performance.

A seller may be top ranked and have negative feedbacks.

Too many sellers feel the system is unfair, and it is if you have the wrong buyers.

It is not how problems on this site are resolved.

The same suggestions has been made by sellers on other sites, repeatedly for many years, and has been ignored.

There is nothing wrong with having 2 FB left on 8 sales. It is quite normal.
