FEE'S AND TAX TO MAILING COST (BUT NO E BAY BUCKS)

E bay fees the mailing cost.  Sellers pay fees on mailing cost.  The labels are bought on their site.   But they give no e bay bucks for. Pay pal fees the Tax , Mailing and value of the sale.  Every one is cashing in on the mailing high already mailing cost.  Now cashing in on the Tax also.  Tax a item that has most likely been taxed already. And charge a fee for the tax.  Fee a high priced mailing cost and tax it. no wounder my sales have dropped so much.  I feel sorry for the system that seem to be just a pot of greed.  But seems that's the way it will stay.  Looks like if they are going to fee and tax everything on line to death.  E bay could give the 1% e bay bucks for it.  Hope all the best. Just had to vent about this.

Yep, Ebay could give us some Ebay bucks for buying shipping labels. (wouldn't help me any since my bucks account is my buyer account)

They could also charge per shipping label on top of the FVF on shipping like some other selling venues do.

Ebay could do a lot of things...

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Ebay bucks program is for buyers not sellers.

Both Ebay and PP are for profit corporations.  So yes they charge for the services they render.

PP and other money processors have always charged their fees on the total amount received no matter if it is for shipping, product or sales tax.  So back when sellers were collecting and remitting sales tax for their own states, even then PP charged their fee on sales tax.

You don't have to purchase your shipping labels on Ebay.  You can use a different online company if you want to.

Greed and the desire to make a profit are not necessarily the same thing.  Are you greedy for making a profit on Ebay?  Am I greedy for making a profit on Ebay?  It is after all what we are all here for, to make a profit.  Profit is not a dirty word nor something any of us needs to apologize for doing, not even Ebay.

A buyer seeing "You will earn $X.XX in eBay Bucks" will learn to buy free shipping items, instead of those where the seller charges for shipping. And the sellers that charge for shipping will learn not to charge for shipping when they learn that free shipping items are selling faster.

From 50% SNAD refunds to higher search ranking to fees on shipping, eBay is learning sellers to offer free shipping. It's not a mistake.

That is a very good point.  However each seller needs to do their own testing on which works best for them.  Free shipping, calculated shipping or stated shipping.  All listings are not created equal within this subject.  Even when you consider Ebay bucks for buyers.  That isn't the only thing to be considered when a seller tries to decided which method is best for their business.  And there is no right or wrong answer.

eBay is a public company, and they only do what they believe they need to do to maximize the value of the company to shareholders.

I suspect they have looked at the 1 billion plus in listings here and have concluded that they don't really need to pay sellers to come here, because they already do.
