Purchaed some USPS forever flag stamps at estate sale. Item removed from EBAY, because of FAKE STAMPS? How do you tell a fake stamp..I took these rolls to local USPS, and they said the are legit?

How do you know they are real? The ones that they are making in China for a couple pennies each are nearly impossible to tell apart from fake ones. They are packaged the same and have a bar code. You can tell under magnification, but only if you know what to look for.

Unfortunately their are a butt load of counterfeit stamps being sold.
Even if your stamps are real, for 200 stamps it's not worth the risk of
eBay or a buyer claiming they are fake.

Just a question. Aren't stamps actually a form of currency? Can they be resold back to the USPS if they are determined to be real?

Well, if you order stamps online from the USPS the charge you postage as well....

There are so many fraudulent stamp sellers, eBay likely erred on the side of caution. There's not much you can do about it. I have similar high risk items in my category that I avoid and don't list.
