I get a message from support after a buyer threatens me and demands refund partial then in full here is the msg I send to eBay as follows …..,,Hello and Thanks for the compliments 👍🏼 This buyer was rude disrespectful and basically lied with attempts to receive first a portion of the sale returned then they wanted it completely returned which I declined. eBay read the messages left by the fraudulent buyer then clised the case in my favor YET As a result I understand much to my disbelief the buyer was refunded AND is able to keep the item !?! This is not helping quality honest sellers when buyers who attempt to extort funds are rewarded not only with a Refund But also the item for free ??? Do u realize what this type of outcome is only going to add to more and more cases of attempted fraud . You can’t be seriously doing business as such and believe this helps the sellers here right ? Truly yo put your set in our shoes …, this is like rewarding the criminals what’s serious going on here now I am shaking my head over here 🤪 at the very very least make them send the package back to you guys then you can donate the item for a tax refund but allowing them to abuse sellers then get free items and cash back forget that who’s idea wad this actually?? Obviously someone who has zero business background I don’t get it .

There is a process for handling returns and it's very similar to the way returns are handled at most online marketplaces.

Pretty much everything you sell is a relatively low cost. eBay will sometimes courtesy credit buyers on low value items because that cost is minimal for buyer retention compared to the cost of acquiring new buyers. If a buyer has a history of abuse eBay is far less likely to comp them.
I'm not giving any kind of opinion on this, just saying it happens.

I mean, did you get to keep your money from your sale?
If so, then what happens is the least of your worries at that point, ebay closed the case in your favor too

I understand your concern about encouraging and rewarding thieves.
However, I also believe that the moment you ask ebay to step in with a return, the odds of a favourable outcome for the buyer increases, as does the chance of the seller losing out.
