Excluded shipping locations - answers needed

1.  If I already have selected, "No international shipping," do I need to still check the boxes in the "International" section of this page? I always check them to make sure, but it seems redundant.  Yet someone in a different thread said it is still necessary.  Is it really?

2.  Since I have my settings set up in my "buyer requirments," I would expect these to come into all of my listings automatically, but on a lot of my listings, the selling template comes up showing, "No excluded locations. Create exclusions." Am I doing something wrong that is not making these preferences show up by default?

3.  I have noticed that, sometimes when I create a listing I will see the exclusions listed, but if I go back and edit the listing, sometimes it goes back to "no exclusions."  Why does it do that?

Thanks for your help.

Mornin,

I think an even more important thing to do is to make sure you block any non us paypal payment.

First it cost more and second of all it will dramatically reduce those that try to get through one of the "filters" set up.

We have used the general block of "No International Shipping" for years and have not seen it circumvented.

About the templates...I know that we have run into this...part of my challenge has been whether I have used a saved template, sell similar of one of my own listings and/or someone elses such as the ebay prompt "Sell One Like This" when doing a search of a product.

About the going back to edit...if the original listing did not have it then I believe you really have to be careful because it will populate back to the initial listing "imagine" in the cache.

Hope this helps.

I'm not quite following, but I'll give it a shot.

You need to set blocks 2 places.

Go to Account > Site Preferences > Shipping Preferences > Exclude Shipping Locations from your listings > edit and choose

Then still in Account - Site Preferences >  Buyer Requirements - Block Buyers who:  Have a primary shipping address in a location I don't ship to.

I think you're missing the first one.
