Everyone treats me like a whipping post -
Going to enjoy raising my prices 5% soon to cover the forever surcharge I am about to experience as a person who sells Japanese games.
The customers treat me like crap, I am losing money to eBay.
Then we come here to gripe about it - then the people here treats everyone like crap.
That's my rant -
You are the problem

Your ebay item number 395042908408
Get rid of "acceptable" as a condition.
AND..........
Description:
Listing is for 7 games (as shown).
Games are used and in good working condition.
These are Japanese games. Please be sure they will work in your console prior to purchase.
If you are not sure, please ask before before buying.
1) Game whatever it is
2) Game whatever
3) Game whatever
4) Game whatever
5) Game
6) Game
70 Game
Again, these are Japanese games in good working condition.
There's a guy sitting here, at his desk, in front a computer typing listings. He could sell the smudge marks off of your games if he wanted to bad enough. You can too, just include a little more info, try to be proud of your items, and it'll show in your type.

People treat me so poorly here and I spend so much in eBay fees to get a sale, it seems stupid if I continue to put all my eggs in one basket when it appears that eBay themselves are quite indifferent to my success

It's your job as a seller to price you items high enough to make the profit you want to make. eBay or the buyers have nothing to do with that. If you are selling items that won't sell at those prices, and allow you to make a profit, then WHY would you do it and continue to do it?
Buyers are buyers. Some are polite, some are not. It's the nature of selling. If you want to control who buys, then you need to have an exclusive club where you control who is a member. Otherwise you need to learn to tolerate it, to make money.
Most times when someone is in a situation, they have choices to make. Make the wrong choice, that's on you not the rest of the world. You choose to sell here, you choose the price, you choose the inventory you sell. If it doesn't suit you, make different and better choices.

What is the forever surcharge that you speak of?

What responses would help you to feel better? Maybe we could tailor our replies to your needs...

At least you didn't think an off ebay cash sale would wind up on a 1099

Well, I am nearing 10 unique returns by people.
What is disappointing to me is that I am quite sure that none of these returns were "my fault" per se.
Half of them are because the item is in Japanese (which should have been obvious, clearly I need to make it MORE obvious - and then I will still get returns regardless)
The other half are due to not working items - but generally when someone starts a return saying not working I know better because I test it before I put in the envelope.
So yes, this is an ongoing problem and likely will cause me to be in the 5% extra club probably forever.
I already promote around 9% - I'm not sure how I can manage the extra 5% unless I drop my promotion % and sell even less.
I'm really trying to hit 400 items in 3 months so I am judged on my last 3 months only

I'm gonna be mean now.
Come play in my returns and you'll think morals and common decency no longer exist

You really should mention that they are a Japanese version in the title. Do not expect buyers to look at pictures or read anything. Many don't.

This is like a clothing seller griping about people renting their clothes. It's the nature of what you are selling. You are not selling to people who are sending these old games off to be graded, so they can sit on a shelf. You are selling old games.
Yes returns suck, but certain categories tend to attract more of them, Games is one that does attract more returns. I used to sell them, I experienced the same thing. That's why I quit selling them, so I did not have to pay more because of buyer's games of returns.
It's the risk you take, in the name of profits. Remember how you said not long ago in another thread, you were going to dominate vintage games? Yeah, maybe not. If you keep getting returns, you will be below standard. The only way to head it off is to give a refund before a case is filed, then they can't file cases. But then you lose all the money and the game(s). Pretty tough spot to be in, if you want to grow games, huh? Sometimes it's not worth the risk to grow your business.

If they are in Japanese, this needs to be in the title too.
Some buyers don't read the description, so having it in the title should help.
Your description is lacking, it says nothing about it being in Japanese either, it's not obvious to a layman like me.

You remember in the last thread you suggested I should throw away my entire inventory?
You are a person who spends too much time here.
