I had this policy about 5 years ago when this joke of a company rolled out the defect scheme (much like the incredibly abusive and borderline criminal return policy they have in place now). Every buyer who opens a NAD complain without contacting us first will be blocked, period. No exceptions. I did this for about 6 months to a year back then and will have to resume this policy now that ebay is allowing buyers to fraudulently open returns and burn sellers up with retaliatory feedback. It is what it is.

Sounds like locking the barn door after all the horses have escaped.
I'm not sure how this would help you.
Depending on how you treat them, before or after the sale..
They may not wish to return anyway to your listings.
There are many valid reasons for a buyer to file a NAD.
I don't believe they all are incredibly abusive and borderline criminal.

So you will block buyers who file a NAD even if you are at fault?

But still a problem because we don't know beforehand who's a scammer, and most criminals/scammers don't return to the crime scene.

40 percent of my returns are bogus. I did a one month lookback. Forty percent, you heard it right. The others are damaged in transit, or a shipping mistake (I am human).
And as far as me doing something wrong? Nah. There are PLENTY of people out there that WILL burn you up on feedback without ever contacting you first. And there are PLENTY of people out there that will burn you up on feedback if you don't cave to their outrageous remorse return demands. I get it all the time as I am in a high return category. The biggest problem is that people DO NOT READ LISTINGS. And as a seller, I cannot perform telepathy pre purchase. But apparently the degenerate low lives that run this company think that us sellers can perform this type of telepathy. And yes I do block buyers who have valid NAD (which are the minority). I reach out to them after the sale and include a slip encouraging them to contact us if there is any issue. They IGNORE the slip and the message. And to answer the other presumptuous question about the barn door, I did this back then and it did not affect my sales. I'm going to do what I have to do to protect myself from these crooks. Ebay certainly will not, they love the dishonest abusive buyers. They encourage the behavior. Unreal

Yes. They are contacted TWICE after the sale to follow up. If you ignore my customer service and then open a case, I will block you and I will not lose any sleep over it

With all due respect, I highly doubt any buyer who has to file a SNAD dispute is going to buy from that seller again.

Not according to my records. Almost every buyer that I assist with an issue and make right quickly cones back to my store. Customers are far more likely to return to you when they have a legitimate issue and you go above and beyond to help them. This is covered in alnost every business class in colleges all over the country. Also I have plenty of buyers wbo contact me trying to buy after being blocked, asking me to remove it . And I never do

Three questions for you:
- How many feedback revisions can a seller be granted in a year?
- What's eBay's current policy on sellers posting "false positive" feedback comments?
- Are restocking fees allowed?
Just want to make sure I have my facts straight.

The odds of someone wanting to purchase again after receiving a snad are slim.

Personally, I say, 'Go for it'! Whether it is a purposeful scam or carelessness or ignorance, let the buyer 'pester' someone else.
ebay isn't going to change it's way of coddling buyers - it is only going to get worse. If a seller is doing a good job of describing, pricing, assisting the customer as much as the customer allows, and is in a high return/scam/learning curve/knowledge needed catagory, it is one of the few ways of protecting themselves.
The customer is always right - at least according to those who are not involved in the situation, or are not 'paying for it'.
The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.
Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.
Respect, like money, is only of 'worth' when it is earned - with all due respect, it can not be ordained, legislated or coerced. Anonymous
