Error when listing / selling. eBay not helping. Employees are getting very tired.

 
Hi there, we have been selling for decades without issue. 


eBay put our account on hold and not telling us why, first they said its our founders age, (over 40) then said they cleared that up. The sent us seller reinstatement email yesterday but the seller account is still restricted.  We called in and the reps could not believe the eBay mess..


How do we get a hold of someone with eBay business sales/support team? Or someone to fix the issue. We have done thousands of transactions without any issue.

Have you signed on for managed payments? Your info on your feedback states you haven't had any sales on this ID for more than a year.  If you have not signed up for managed payments you need to attach a bank account to your eBay account.  Make sure all your info is exactly the same on both accounts.  There is no more Paypal for seller payments.  Once you have the proper payment method set up, eBay should re-instate your account.  If not, contact customer service:

Hi, thanks for your reply.

yes  our last sale was in Nov 2022, ebay been asking for documents  on and off. I just wait patiently. 

When i called in employees are actually very  very surprised.  One broke down in tears as she could not believe what eBay has done.

These are US CS employees of eBay that may better serve you and your situation.  Tell them what you are posting here, most of the time they'll respond within about 24 hours, sometimes sooner.  Many positive posts here with their ability to be helpful.  I had an issue a few weeks back.  They contacted me within about 4 hours and took care of the issue.  All good.  Get hold of them today and hopefully they'll get your store back on track.

You mean a CSR broke down in tears? Are you sure you were talking to eBay customer service? How did you contact them?

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.  Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is.  Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message.  It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left.  If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.  Not all options are available 24/7.  It will depend on staffing available.  So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't.  Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me.  If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Unlikely that Ebay CSR is going to stay on the phone that long.  Something sounds a bit odd here, I'm just not sure what is happening to you.

 

You mentioned "ebay been asking for documents  on and off. I just wait patiently."  What does that mean exactly.  Do you just wait to see if Ebay stops asking, you don't send what they asked for?  Or are you sending them the info they asked for and patiently wait for them to process it?

The people you called are not ebay employees, they are employees of a company that provides the customer support for ebay... That said I am curious exactly what made that customer support lady cry.

I am guessing she probably cried because of their inability to get you off the phone shortly which negatively impacts their metrics, enough of those and they lose their sub-contractor status much like a seller on ebay can get MC999'd if they have enough metrics dings. Probably working so hard to make ends meet in a third world country with her family's welfare on the line, and seeing it all go down the drain in a system that takes advantage of the peons for the benefit of the CEO.

That would be my guess, but I will tell you the CSR (customer service representative) rarely can do anything that a seller can't do themselves. I don't call Customer support, it is a waste of my time, learning how ebay works has done as much or more than they can do for me.

That is likely why you can't sell.  If they are asking for documents, you need to provide them.  Just waiting will NOT get you the ability to post.

 

What are they asking you for?
