Ebay's Authenticity Guarantee Process / Authenticator Damaged My Item

I recently sold an item and was directed by eBay NOT to send the item directly to the seller. Instead I had to send it to an authenticator first. The item was authenticated but when the buyer received the item it was damaged. Now the buyer is blaming me and left negative feedback. I requested eBay to remove it but they would not.

What options do I have left?

Negative states, "Ultimately it was the seller’s choice to use this process so they are getting the negative feedback".

You can send the buyer a message highlighting that the use of an authenticator was required by eBay and that you had no choice in the matter. You could also mention that the item was authenticated, meaning no damage.

They think it was your choice and that's why they gave you the negative.

I would contact ebay again about removing the feedback. Stress the fact that the AG center apparently damaged it or it was damaged in shipping after authentication.

The AG program is supposed to protect you from negative feedback in cases like that.

Also I would suggest the buyer to contact ebay themselves about the damaged item.

It seems ebay removed the negative wording blaming the Authentication Center for the damage.

Ebay still made it look like it was you to blame by leaving up the negative.

Ebay tries to cover up the fact that they messed up.

I would be calling ebay day and night to get them to remove the negative for their negligence.

Has the buyer opened up and item not as described claim?

I don't think calling eBay CS will do anything - they're useless, and it's pretty obvious that they did, indeed, cover up, for why remove the wording and not the feedback? ETA: Which made it worse, actually.

At this point I think a reasoned response to this FB assuring your future buyers of your good business practice is in order.
