Hello Everyone,
A bidder purchased an item today and after paying for the item, sends me a message stating the following "Hey , I don’t want to return it just got the wrong address on it" and waited for less than an hour and puts a negative feedback and cancels the purchased item!
I called Ebay customer support regarding this issue. I requested Ebay to remove this feedback due to the following: the buyer waits for less than an hour for a response (when Ebay allows sellers unto 24hrs to respond). Additionally, per-eBay policy we are not allowed to ship items to addresses other than the ones on the buyer's Ebay profile (which is a different issue all together).
A few hours after my request, I get an automated message from eBay stating the following:
We reviewed your request to remove the feedback from UserXYZ for MyProduct. Unfortunately we won’t be able to remove this comment because it doesn’t violate any of our feedback policies.
I am really shocked to see how eBay allows buyers to just simply rate sellers willy nilly without giving sellers a chance to respond. Basically this is a review for a transaction that never happened and the buyer misusing the rating system. Can someone help me out with this situation, any suggestion?
Thanks
Vineeth

Exactly as Fox stated, go to facebook, explain the situation and they'll (most likely) remove the neg.

Some of this story puzzles me a little.
In order for a buyer to cancel a purchase, if it is within an hour of the purchase, they first have to place a cancellation request with the seller. The seller has three days to respond, and seller can either accept or cancel the request.
As you state the buyer cancelled the order, you must have accepted the request.
As for the request to remove the feedback, if the buyer asked to cancel the order, and the request was accepted, I cannot see how the feedback cannot be removed.
I would suggest you try CS again, and keep trying until you reach someone who will remove it for you there and then.
The wrong address was entirely the buyer’s fault, and I assume the buyer also initiated the cancellation request.
As I said, keep trying with CS to remove feedback.

Thanks for the response. Maybe I was not clear. Yes the buyer did send a cancellation request after giving the negative review. I then accepted his request and refunded the amount.

Like everyone else says, you SHOULD be able to get that feedback removed. Keep trying. Good luck.

Not correct, the only way a buyer can cancel successfully within the first hour without penalty is:
1. They have not paid for the order and......
2. They must use the Blue Cancellation button, if they do this the seller has no choice and can not file UPI against the buyer later.
I have been imported from Australia and this is my posting ID

Since ebay does not charge the final value fees until the buyer pays it is really no big deal if the seller agrees or not.

No, DON'T call regular eBay CS. Total waste of time and energy. ONLY contact eBay on Facebook, as stated above.

The seller can't open another case on the payment anyway, that's the loophole, see here. So buyers can block a UPI simply by requesting a cancel within the first hour, never to pay.
And down asunder, a buyer can pay, then request a cancel transaction in hour one, that's normal.

Wow. I recently had my 1st bad customer in 14 years of sales and even with her feedback being so so I mean it wasn't negative but it implied that she was slightly unhappy..they removed it for me. I had 2 call and ask them, they said it's not negative since she posted a negative review under a positive feedback button but I explained to them that she was a scammer and was using my item to replace on her item then wanting to return it. They understood put in a request and removed it but I still c this feedback was removed when I look under my feedback. Don't know if my customers c that hope not lol but like I said had 2 request it waited about 15 days or so then it was gone. Hope that helps. Sincerely, Jeanette
