Ebay message requiring me to verify bank info I've had for over a year

I have received an apparent ebay message on my main ebay page requiring me to verify my existing bank info that I've been using without a problem for over a year or I cannot use my account.  They want me to log in to my bank account from that page.  Seems a little hinky to me...

Nothing hinkey!

When you click the button to verify a new window will pop up, what's in the pop up is the log in page for YOUR bank.

eBay never sees the log-in information you use there only your bank has access to that page, once you log-in the bank confirms to eBay that is has been successful and that proves that YOU control that bank account and that you have given permission for eBay to access the account.

It's the standard way that is used to give third-party authorizations online.

Thank you.  The message states that I can verify it by allowing them to make small deposits into the account and then reporting the amounts to them.  That seems less scary to me than logging into my bank account from their page.  What did you do?

I've heard of such on these boards... feels 'hinky', but it's legit. I'd do it, if you want to keep selling. Good luck.
