Why does the app open when I go to list from the website?

Try to use the desktop mode of your mobile web browser.

The eBay application on your phone/tablet has a setting to open the application when you select eBay links in the browser. You can disable or have it ask what you want to do instead.

Although in my case that's temporary. Have to go back and change the setting back all the time. Possibly gets changed in an update.

Not much detail, but if you are using your smart device (phone or table) and using the web browser on that device to access eBay, it could be that going to SYI is triggering your device to open the eBay app, rather than using the desktop listing form.

Just a guess.  I don't list from my phone.  Don't purchase from there either.  I have a nice desktop system (built it myself) with a good keyboard and big screens.  So I can type the way I (sorta) learned to in high school and read the screen without squinting.  Like the song says:  "What a drag it is getting old".  🙂
