Letter to Shiela (from eBay regarding her response), You say a negative feedback means nothing. Maybe not to you but it means a hell of a lot to me. You know very well it lowers my ratings, ups the fees and makes me look bad. And it sticks with me for a year. For a year I have to look at this negative. I am not disputing a defect as you say. I am only asking to you allow the buyer to revise their feedback as the buyer has requested of me.. This should be between the buyer and the seller.. You have made the decision to block her rights to a revision on eBay. And freedom to allow her to do so. You pander me trying to let me know how wonderful I have handled things. Well, I am not impressed at all at your so-called compliments. And then you slam me with a "no can do". I work very hard to keep my record clean but this obviously means nothing to you..
My buyer wants to revise her feedback and you refuse to let her do so. I am entitled to revisions and you want to block me and her from our opinions. It seems that only your opinion counts.. I will definitely let her know that her opinion no longer matters on eBay. She has requested that I send her a revision form and then you entered into the scene. She admits acting in haste, thought it over and has decided to rescind her feedback. Whatever the reason she wants to rescind her feedback should be up to the buyer not eBay to block her opinion and me too. I really don't appreciate you trying to make me feel better about all this-cause I doesn't make me feel better at all. Instead your letter makes me feel terrible.. I've been with eBay for 23 years and I believe I have had enough of buying and selling on ebay. When you do things like this to me and the buyer it is totally unfair. This is unfair to me and to the buyer. You are making the decision for here and this is not ethical.. You try to minimize on how I should feel -well I dont go for it. How do you have the right to do this? Too much control and I am out. It seems to me that you are getting much satisfaction from your actions. This and your fancy long letter does not impress me at all. I am entitled to revisions and you are taking complete control of me and the buyer. You have made it very difficult and a have provided a bad experience for me to do business on eBay. Some of your sellers feel the same too. So I have decided -I'm out of here..I have had enough. No buying, No adding new stuff, no promoting. I'm out of here. Thanks to you

Your profile shows you have 6 revised feedbacks already, maybe you ran out of revision requests?

I wish they would go back to lifetime feedback % rather than just the last 12 months.

Is Sheila in the room with us now?

You said you were leaving over a year ago. Why do you stay if you are having so many problems?

You're allowed 5 feedback revision requests per 1,000 feedback received in the past 12 months.

Feedback is a relic of Ebay's past. That was a time when there was no buyer protection of any sort. FB was a minimal cost to Ebay fig leaf for the lack of desire of Pierre to spend any money on making EBay a safe place to buy.
Ebay does not use FB in evaluating sellers.
They would probably eliminate it were it not for the howls from few people who believe it is meaningful and protects buyers, and from sellers who have nothing to offer other than 100% positive FB.

Hi, Agreed that if both partys (buyer & seller) are A-Ok with a feedback revision then this SHOULD be allowable. HOWEVER, sellers are allowed a finite amount of revisions - those are the the rules that - as sellers - we must abide by. Its eBay's field - they just let us play on it. IMHO Of Course! (J.B. From N.J.)

oh my ...those scathing reply's to those negative feedbacks.
some buyers may hesitate buying from you after reading some of these.
just say'n
if it were me I'd look within myself to see what I could do so I would not receive 7 negatives within a 12 month period
i do wish you luck after you leave the eBay platform

Not as bad as some, but bad enough.
OP, this line in particular would have gotten you in big trouble with eBay had the buyer bothered to report it: " I will consider resending your order if you would consider rescinding your feedback". You cannot make customer service contingent on their feedback.

That 10 day limit for doing the revision is too short between seller and buyer...so I agree on that.
I don't think there should even be a time limit since these negative feedbacks stick around for one year.
