Ebay rates harshly these days. I'm still being punished for when I had to evacuate during hurricane Matthew and couldn't ship. That was more than 7 months ago!.....Meanwhile Paypal holds my money without interest for up to 27 days because of Ebay's lousy rating system!
Its Fraud!!!!!

well at least the other 2 companies are making money on your money lol
im just kidding. the only reason why pp can do that is they arent really a bank and dont have to follow US banking laws consequently. In fact no one's money in there is FDIC insured. thats why no sellers keep much money in PP. if anything happens, we lose it all and are not protected.
In fact a bank and credit or debit card paying is much safer and more protected for both the buyer and seller.
they did a good marketing campaign to make people believe the opposite

In fact no one's money in there is FDIC insured.
That is incorrect.
The FDIC has confirmed that funds in PayPal accounts are covered for up to the same $100,000 as banks.
Can we expect a retraction?

Actually, sellers who post on the boards say they don't leave money in PayPal - and have a separate checking accouunt with very low or zero balances to avoid forced refunds.

More uninformed PayPal bashing. PayPal does not make a red cent on your money or anyone else's! If you have a daily limit on your debit card, however, your own bank makes money on your money...do you have a problem with that?
Can we expect a retraction?

Yes, defects will count against your account for 12 months.
But you are in the USA.
While Paypal will Hold funds against customer satisfaction for up to 21 days, as I understand it only we non-US sellers are automatically held to the full standard.
Are you shipping promptly now?
Are you taking advantage of USPS cheap cheap cheap tracking to show that you have shipped?
Are you using a fast service (not media mail) ?
What explanation has PP given for holding your funds longer than that 21 day standard?

Are you sure you the PayPal hold is because of the hurricane, and not because of the 2 negatives you received? Any defects you received because you had to evacuate, and couldn't ship should be removable. My region went through a more localized event 2 months ago, and I was able to get defects removed.
PayPal only holds funds for 21 days, but if you are shipping with tracking, and uploading the tracking numbers, your funds should be released within 3 days of tracking showing an item was delivered. If they are not releasing the funds within that time you need to get in touch with them. The holds could still be in place for other reasons.
Go to PayPal and scroll to the bottom of any page and click on the Help & Contact button. On the next page type Payment Holds into the topic search box. read the first few articles that show up, to see if any of the other reasons apply, and what you need to do to get the hold removed.

I haved 2 negatives out of over 500 in a year. You cant please everyone all the time, some follks are just irrational.
I always ship on time everytime, with the execption of the hurricane, and in that case I informed all my buyers of the delay with an explanation. I heard from 98% of them and they were all sympathetic to my plight and ok with the late shipping.
I have been a member since 1998 and a topseller untill this new rating system and the unfortunate mandatory evacuation of hurricane Matthew.
Keeping me as below standard for 7 months is ridiculous and unfair.
Why do I have a feeling you work for Ebay?

Yes, isn't it wonderful how everybody working for and at paypal are volunteering their time. Paypal is such an alturistic company - they should get awards.
Perhaps they don't make money 'from' your money, but they make lots 'by' your money.
The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.
Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.
Respect, like money, is only of 'worth' when it is earned - with all due respect, it can not be ordained, legislated or coerced. Anonymous

I find this guy's replies quite funny...he reads internet articles and then posts them as proof..since when is "the NEWS" a reference for factual evidence. The news can be and often is...FAKE.
