Ebay changing shipping method from 1st Class to Priority???

Sold an item that was 1 lb or less, and USPS First Class is the shipping option. When going to ship, Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope is the shipping method??? Customer DID NOT pay for Priority, nor was flat rate envelope an option. Drop down does not  show first class option. No mistakes on my part in listing. What gives? I believe this happened on another item earlier this week, and I assumed I made a mistake in that listing, so didn't bother checking it.

Are you using the new label printing system? We've been trying it out. It seems to happen to us when you select economy shipping in the listing.

It seems to pick the most expensive shipping method. So, more buttons to push, more time wasted and now if you aren't alert, added cost too. And yes, we missed it a couple times before catching it.

Yes, this happened to me two times. I caught it and was able to change it using the new program. The second time, the first class option was not there. As luck has it, at the upper right there was a link to the old shipping version. I changed back and was able to ship my label in seconds. I also contacted ebay and advised them of the issue.

New shipping labels program has all kinds of add  ons, filled in info and errors. Most shipping does not require all of the bells and hoops.   No one at eBay asked sellers what   they wanted or needed . Most of our sales just require 2 steps but eBay just added several more steps and takes at least 3X as long to complete from the old or Classic program.   The classic is simple as you click on what you need and buy the label.  98% of our labels only require 2 to 3 steps. If you want the classic label view, please let eBay know as you can switch back from this new view  for now but as you know eBay will eliminate that choice in the future as with other " new and improved changes"  that are filled with gliches that keep increasing.  We have noted many on and off errors on selller Hub beyond the normal number issues starting about 2 weeks ago.

I too notice many of these little issues with the new shipping program. I have the old shipping calculator bookmarked and when I loaded the exact same parameters (size, weight), the shipping cost in the new shipping program was about 30c higher for a first class package. (Sorry I can't remember the exact nos.) Ebay seems to make everythiing worse these days.

The solution is very simple just  go to the  classic print label   link in the upper RH corner then  you life will be good again.

I have to believe that eBay will keep this option until they have "debugged" the new purchase/print  label page that no one really asked for or that solved any seller issues -I do believe that it just got created because some one in San Jose just got tired of staring at their own navel and wanted to make it  prettier.  DUH!!

This is about as  good as suggesting  sellers to  reduce their  price to POSSIBLY get the sale.  hmmm!

Well, we all know that they use the name eBay to emphasize that we get the B-team in regards to programmers and designers.
