EBay is creating errors in the “Product Details” and “Item Specifics” sections!
EBay has changed the format for listing some items. Ebay is automatically including a section called “Product Details”. This automatic entry adds information which may or may not be correct. This automatic entry also overrides some information in the “Item Specifics” section, and adds incorrect information about item. There is no way to correct or delete the errors EBay is adding to the listings. I have contacted eBay about this, and they do not seem to be concerned their system is creating listings with inaccurate details.

That's eBay Catalog the new way of eBay. Its designed to help you get more not as described cases so they can hit you with an extra 4% fees

and be carefull when you use sell similar now as I noticed they are starting to auto tick best offer when you don't really want it. Its getting slower to do listings now but to me worse is the search results. Too many options where buyer just clicks a link and they are taken away from your listing. And don't mention the forced stock photos added to listings. Too bad if your item differs in some way to the stock pic.

I'm about to smash my laptop up after hours of frustration trying to remove product details and images for a completely different watch than that I'm selling
eBay has added them for buyers but doesn't show them when you preview your listing
Any ideas?
And don't get me started on the random displayed fonts that differ to those in the editor or the seamingly randomly shown options of best offer and easy pricing
Grrrrr
Think I might have a garage sale instead

When I’m faced with the ridiculous “hoop jumping” required of eBay’s Product Catalog, I’ve just deleted the listing entirely and listed it somewhere else.
With eBay hiding views, it’s not like I’m getting any more exposure than other sites, probably less, and I’m NOT going to spend 2 hours attempting to shoehorn my item into their latest stupid idea ... the Product Catalog.
They are NOT the only game in town any longer.

Update:
By switching to the advanced listing tool my listings with the unwanted additional product detail have a prefill check box at the top of the page. Unchecking this removes the unwanted C**P at the start of my listing
And guess what!? the fonts do what they're told too

This is rampant in the Ebay motors section. If you are looking for a specific part, say for instance a part for a 2001 Cadillac, there will be a little window saying "fits 2001 Cadillac" when indeed it does not.
