Ebay ad fee thieves

As a seller for 15 years on eBay I cannot believe how they are now scamming people. The send bait emails with 80pc fee rebate. When you list an item they chanel 0 traffic to the item until your rebate expires. In frustration seller click on add fees and suddenly the traffic arrives. Its a total scam. In the end ebay takes £50 of a £200 phone. Its such a scam. I am not even sure its legal the way Ebay hides these ad fees. I just hope more sellers realise the scam tactics and leave..

I’ve seen similar ads.  It isn’t misleading - they offer a certain percentage off of your advanced promo fees.  You still have to pay the full standard fee.

It is super misleading because they control the flow of viewers. Ebay lures sellers into listing items with a 80% rebate promise, then blocks any traffic until sellers click on this add fee scam. In the end Ebay cashes in with 20-30% of the item value for doing nothing but opening the natural traffic back up. Its a scam that shoul dbe investigated.
