Ebay Selective Listings Prohibiting International Sales Defect

We have an auto body trim part for sale that was listed with our internal settings as eligible for Ebay International. Once listed they disallowed this item to be sold anywhere but the USA (shipping details section review). This item would not be a customs issue, it hasn't been for the last 20 years for any country as a seller. All countires did not just add a car part to their disallowed list obviously. This is a piece of chrome trim.
EXACT same item for sale by another seller shows it is available for purchase through Ebay International.

Called Ebay and the take-a-way is, they don't really know why. This seems to be a system glitch where it randomly chooses listings to exclude from Ebay International.
Anybody else having this issue? Have you found a work around, know what criteria tthey are using to determine these exclusions randomly?

This happens to me every time on auto parts of any type.  Whether aftermarket or OEM.  Even on standard, JC Whitney type aftermarket generic parts (I had a JP style fender mirror for instance, same problem).

No clue why.   Never seen it explained.

@handpickedpartz

Just because another seller is selling the same part that was removed, doesn't make it right.  They just haven't been caught....yet.

If eBay takes an item down for what ever reason, there's usually a good reason.  Right now eBay is over loaded with so many items that are not only prohibited, but illegal. Unfortunately there is not enough man power to take these types of listings down.

 My suggestion is to not relist it as it can jeopardize your account permanently & I know you don't what that to happen.  You have a good long standing account that you no doubt have worked very hard on.  It would be sad to see you lose all that hard work & effort you put into it.

Keep selling and Happy Sales!

Its a car molding, I have been selling on here for 23yrs and am well aware of restricted items.  This is not even relevant.  Thanks for the input but not an issue.

     The EIS restrictions are a bit vague but it could possibly have something to do with the category you have it listed in or the size of the piece of trim. What do you have for the length of the piece of trim? Max length on a package going through EIS is 48" which would be a large piece of trim. It could also be an issue if it is used. Initially EIS was not handling any used auto parts but they adjusted that in the policy but I am not sure if they have made the code adjustments. The program is fairly new and I expect it will take some time to get all the glitches worked out.

     I have a few things that don't qualify for EIS and I am like you, at a loss for the reason. I simply don't worry too much about it since it is a small portion of what I list. However, if my main line was auto parts I would be a bit concerned if the rejection percentage was/is high.
