Are you on your phone? That can be problematic.
Possibly the person responding is starting a new message instead of responding on your message. That would also account for that.
No phone. I think you are correct. The message system flaw is that it makes it too easy just to start a new message instead of responding on the message sent. I could go on, but what is the point? They just plain do not understand how this affects, and complicates, the sale.
