I had a buyer to purchase an item. He filed to return the item saying it "Didn't seem authentic". I specified in my listings that I don't accept returns unless an item is not as described... (which I have never, ever sent an item that was not as described).
During the process, I offered to get the proof of authenticity, or even pay for the buyer to have the item authenticated on his end. I offered as many solutions as I thought possible. The buyer never responded.
I asked ebay to step in to help. They ruled that the buyer can return the item for a full refund...
I think I'm officially done with Ebay, but in all the years I've been here, I've never had this happen.

Fighting returns is a wast of time. Return refund and block. Best regards

eBay has not protected sellers in SNAD cases for at least a decade now.
If you been selling here for all that time and never had this happen before, I'd say you have been unusually lucky.

ebay ALWAYS rules in favor of the buyer on SNAD claims. In fact, No human has even looked at the case as the software here is automated and programmed to rule in favor of the buyer in a SNAD claim every time.
As soon as they opened up a case you needed to just accept the return and send them a return shipping label. If you had done this then you would have avoided the defect that is probably showing on your account now due to an unresolved case against you (meaning ebay had to step in and solve it because you didn't).
No returns doesn't mean no refunds. Two totally different dogs. No returns just means that you do not accept remorse returns (changed my mind, found better price elsewhere etc).
At this point you need to just make sure the buyer has a return shipping label so you at least get your item back.
Good luck.

when you lose INAD case, your no return policy means you dont want the item back so buyer is free to do what he wants to do with your item.

Not true.

FWIW if you are willing to get POA or COA after it has sold then why not just do that beforehand? If there is a fee then that can be worked into the price. Selling something unproven just opens up the doors for a SNAD.
