Just received a notice that Ebay was charging me X amount for fees and expenses. There were no details as to what the fees and expenses were for. If I owe them that's fine, but I want to know what I'm paying for. Is that too much to ask?

Just talked to an Ebay Agent. Very helpful. My charges, if anyone is interested, were shipping charges that were not deducted from from the original purchase. Instead of one box, I had to ship a sold item in three boxes. Mystery solved. Thanks everyone for your reply.

You are in managed payments, so unless you have a store subscription (can't see one) you should not be receiving any 'charges to be paid' as all fvf's are deducted before being released to your check account.
Are you sure it was from eBay ?
You may need to contact them on this one.

Most of the time, your fees will be deducted from your pending payments, before you get your payouts. However, there are some circumstances where your pending payments may not be enough to cover a fee, and then eBay will charge your backup payment method (usually the bank account where your payouts are deposited, unless you have set up another payment method).
You can get more information about the fees you were charged from the Payments tab in your Seller Hub, or from your Financial Statements. Instructions here:
Paying for eBay fees and other selling costs
When you start selling, you'll need to set up a valid payment method for selling costs, for example, a debit or credit card, or your linked checking account. You can keep track of all your selling fees, payouts, and any credits you've received, in your Financial statement in Payments in My eBay or the Payments tab in Seller Hub.

Your transaction detail in the seller hub will tell you exactly what each charge is for:

That's what I thought Also. I can't find a reason anywhere that I have looked. How in the world do you contact Ebay?

The only time I've had to reach out to eBay (since early 2020), I had very good luck by sending a message through the eBay facebook page. Qualified Reps will contact you through email. Good luck!

Your transaction detail in the seller hub would have told you that.
