EEK!

When wandering through a certain category, I discovered a seller who appears to be on the verge of a serious mistake.  He has a high dollar sewing machine listed starting at 99 cents with a BIN of $275.  He's relatively new, so I have a feeling he thinks a BIN is the same as a Reserve.

I did message him about it.

EEK!

The first eager buyer can END the listing by clicking the BIN and buying the expensive sewing machine for $275. Most reasonable sewing machines that really work well can be worth three  or four times that BIN  amount.

If someone does bid, the BIN goes away and the seller has an auction that is standing at $0.99. It might sell for $25 or $40 when it's worth over $300.

And the ignorance the Starting Price and BIN show means there are going to be TONS of scammers jumping on that listing.

EEK!

Is that a mistake? Sounds like something I might do if I believed demand was high enough for the price to at least meet my BIN.

Have no idea! Messaged the seller, but haven't heard back.

As mentioned, I attempted to contact the seller and apprise him/her of the situation.

No reply yet.  I really think he/she thought the $275 was a Reserve.
