EBay owes me over Seventy dollars in voided shipping labels.

If you are eBay a team member DO NOT reply.

I'm so disgusted of these guys. I recently had to void old shipping labels already purchased and repurchase them to send a item to dozens of buyers. We can't bulk void so I had to get eBay Phillipines to assisst. After the entire process I had expressed numerous times the refunds didn't go through except for four of them. Well now they won't even reply to messages. I've given up calling now since the same reply is given by every representative that the refunds have been made. Then where's the money? It has been a week and nothinng still. Is there another authority to get involved besides Paypal and eBay? I've given up taking to these guys and it seems they don't really care to follow up. I wish they'd bring the call center back to the US. Anyways, please no advice to call them back; I've done so so many times and it's the same thing and the same voices saying they've been refunded. If I even get that far since they can't even get my account infront of their faces because they have so much trouble with English terminology.

I don't even know what that means.  I am a seller and occasional buyer.

You only have 5 days to VOID a label.  The USPS refunds your Paypal account in 2-3 weeks after they confirm the label was never used.

No eBay customer service people. I suspect that they reply here as well.

Yes, you have five days to PRINT/REPRINT the label. Anything after that you must void and repurchase. There was no refund from USPS I would've seen it. Even then the refunds come from eBay shipping not USPS and there isn't one transaction either to and from USPS all this year. It is an easy transaction to spot. They all were the same amount. As originally stated in the original post; they still owe me.

Don't know when you voided these labels but as Disney stated it can take 2-3 weeks for the USPS to refund the label cost. If you want to talk to an American rep - try calling at 10 am and you should usually get a US rep. but they can't refund you any faster - it the USPS that refunds the money.

And we are not Ebay team members - just sellers like yourself who know policies, rules, and situations.

Ebay team members seldom come to the boards unless we call them for assistance.

Incorrect.  Labels can be reprinted for only 24 hours, and can be voided for up to 5 days after purchase. If you waited longer than 5 days, then you missed the deadline and won't get a refund regardless of what story customer service made up to get you off the phone.

As noted in other posts, the refund can take upto 3 weeks to show up because USPS won't approve the credit until the're sure that you really didn't use the label.

I'm curious as to how you got yourself into that situation to begin with. Were you printing up labels before you got paid?

I never use ebay labels or any peripheral services/products that they offer. I take care of all of this myself and save myself the angst and frustration. (Not to mention money.) There is enough other stuff to put up with when working under ebay.

There was no refund from USPS

You are correct that the USPS does not do the refund. But eBay does not refund until the USPS tells them that it is okay to refund, and that takes 2-3 weeks from my experience.

You say it has been a week since you voided them - and we are suggesting that eBay customer support is not going to speed up the USPS.

From eBay labels online help: "The refund for any voided label may take up to 25 days to appear in your PayPal account. "

You didn't tell us how many days had passed since you'd originated the shipping labels until the time you went to void them for refund.  You said "old shipping labels already purchased" but don't mention how "old" those labels were.

And eBay doesn't have much to do with this.  Don't know what any customer service rep could do for you in regards to your problem, either U.S. based or overseas.  This would be up to the carrier (sounds like USPS in this case) and there is definitely a lag of a couple of weeks.. maybe three.. between the time I void a shipping label and the time I get notice I've been refunded for that.

@papyruspapillo

How does avoiding eBay labels save you money?

What other "peripheral services/products" are there which you also avoid? Should I be avoiding them too?

Are there no charges for ebay labels? If so, I'm very surprised. I'm talking abouy enhancements to listings for which ebay charges, ebay shipping, etcetera. I try to keep my costs to a minimum while still providing good service and safe delivery, kind of no-frills. You have to decide what to accept or to avoid, depending on your preferences and desires. I just try to squeeze the nickel.

I've had to do this several times and each time it hit the account in less than fifteen minutes.

What are you talking about? Its spelled out right in the email that you receive when you pay for the label:

'You can void the label within 120 hours after creating it. We'll let the U.S. Postal Service know you voided the label. Once your void is approved, we'll credit the label cost to your PayPal account.

Need to reprint the label?
You can reprint the label at no extra charge within 24 hours after creating the label.'

120 hours is 5 days to void it. Then you wait for the credit to come back later - 2-3 weeks. If you miss the 5 day deadline then I dont know if you can void it at all. You can only reprint with in 1 day.

How is it that you need refunds for DOZENS of labels? What happened?

When you purchase a postage label through eBay, you pay the same discounted online rate that you'd pay through PayPal, endicia, or stamps.com.  IIRC, the official average is a 20% savings when compared to retail prices. eBay does not charge any fee.  Plus, the tracking is automatically uploaded into the transaction.
