EBAY fee bug discovered when relisting I took an offer of 100 free listings (which is great) so I relisted some of my unsold items it deducted until i had 3 left if you try to list 4 or more items in this state (even though its Feb 1 and you have your monthly additional 50 listings available) EBAY site will try charge fees for each listing over the 100 listing promotion unless you do less than 3 (for example) you have to use up the last 3 one by one or in increments of less than 3 for it to not charge and move on to the 50 free listings for the month.
Just thought people should be aware in case they are wondering why ebay tries to fee when they have free listings available. The trick is not to go over the amount in the offering.

I guess I am confused on your comments.
Usually if Ebay has a promo - like the 100 auctions and it is fixed auctions only - the process will deduct from the promo until it is finished before using the 50 free. I am not sure how you were charged for any over 3 promo left - on Feb 1 - You should have had an option of 50 freebies (fixed or auction). The only time a charge is added to many of the relists - is if they change a category - say you have something in housewares collectibles and change to home decor (in collectibles the galley larger pics are free - once you change to another caetgory - you get charged .30 for the gallery pics). Many times the relist fee is for use of a 1 or 3 day listing, bold, gallery pics or other fee related add-ons. I would check your re-list amounts to make sure they were for re-listing and not for larger galley pics. Before you click at the end of a new listing - if a .30 fee shows up - "click" on the .30 to see what it is charging you for.

Listing specials usually don't include relists, only sell similars.

That was a very short lived variation for some free listing primos a few years ago, none of the promos I've seen in the past couple of years included that stipulation.

Every single promo I've gotten in the past few months has allowed relists for the promo listings.

My point was if you accept 100 free listings then use, 90 and try to list 20 items at once ebay will try to fee you for the other 10 listings even if you have 50 free listings for the month. Watch out for the glitch. Thats all.
