EBAY Putting Heart Icon with # of LIKES in Your Photos (confusing customer as to what size item is)

EBAY is there infinite wisdom now put #of LIKES with HEART ICON on your photos.    I sell clothing and this is confusing the customers about what size is available.   Customer asking is it size 2 or 8.   Told them I don't have size 2 (so they asked why does it say #2 in heart icon).

Oh that is an interesting side effect of the heart icon.  One I bet Ebay didn't consider.  Great catch.

I haven't noticed this yet, thanks for pointing it out, OP.

What is the purpose of Ebay putting this on photos?

We should never underestimate the stupidity of the Ebay buyer.

This is a great example of that important rule.

I think the heart and the number is obvious and extremely useful, but I am not dumber than dirt, yet.

Are they seeing this on the app version?  On the website I'm not seeing how the icon can be mistaken for anything else. The heart "like" is used by most online stores/marketplaces.

There may be a place for this as an option.

Otherwise, no.

What?  Why is the buyer at fault for this and getting called names for it?  Ebay wrote the program that is clearly malfunctioning.

@mam98031 not sure how you've come to the conclusion that eBay's programing is malfunctioning in this situation.

Looks to me like it's working exactly as intended to show buyers when an item is (theoretically) popular, which I would assume eBay believes might help drive a sense of urgency.

I can understand how it might be confusing when that number is small enough to possibly be a size (though personally I think it's pretty clear what it means) but I don't see anything here that would be considered a malfunction.
