EBAY HAS IDEAS AS TO WHY MY LISTINGS ARE NOT SELLING

I Received this absurd e-mail from Ebay this morning.  They suggest I lower my prices, look at the competition etc.  Hey Ebay fix the Glitches! That is why my items are not being seen or sold.  I can not believe they have the time to send these ridiculous e-mails out when the state of the platform is out of control!

That is a beautiful one I have not received it yet but I am certainly anxiously expecting to get this soon! As for selling the stuff I'm going to shove off into some cold corner of my stick hut and store for awhile until it sells or I get tired of having it. A seller should not expect something for nothing on ebay and I also feel that one should work a little improving listings and most important, making new ones, for an hour or so, every day, cardio workout for the brain. I also have noticed that no one is at the steering wheel and that the cue is only written in the order of searches and views and goes to individuals custom. Things do not add up when crossing things over and comparing the same item to it's actual sales price. In plain language, if there is such, items are selling for way more than the lowest price and shipping........but don't tell anyone.

WOW ! they must really think sellers are stupid ! I cannot say on here what I think of that ! I would be ticked !

I got the same email this morning, clicked on it, and low and behold there are things I can do to improve sales!!!!!

Nothing about what ebay could do to improve sales. Nothing about working as partners toward a common goal.

At the bottom of the list of suggestions there is a survey. I took it, and I laid into them. The way their search has driven away buyers.  Search lowest price in many categories, and promoted listings fill the page before the low price items. So a buyer is checking price, and sees high price options so they go elsewhere. Put the promotions at the bottom. The "it's not your fault, it's ours" page probably has more page views than any item on ebay. Fix your servers. You know what, don't bother fixing the servers. At this rate in a year you will have server capacity to spare. You will have driven off both buyers and sellers, and the cheap chinese goods will have to start paying U.S. postage just like US sellers. At the end of the survey, they ask for your member name. I gave it to them, even though I will probably get throttled. God I hope they give me a call from a US representative.

I received the same e-mail today.

I just try to ignore and also believe eBay needs to fix the previous CEO changes and forget about GTC and Managed Payments. I still believe the search engine is messed up and not everyone's listings are being found by shoppers. 

I think they are trying to fix the search engine because my sales this month have been like a roller coaster ride. I sell items in a short period of time and them go dead until the next sales hike.

I rec'd the same email.  And I agree with all of you, search engine is not working correctly.  Sales have been very very slow for 6 months now.

They need to get their own house under control.

Nothing about giving up some of the double dipping on shipping to help sellers make shipping cheaper.

Nothing about how to attract more International sales .

Nothing about having buyers put some skin the the game

Nothing about fixing search and making all listings visible

Nothing about a coherent adverting program long term

Nothing about fixing managed payments and  how safe our funds are

Nothing about suspending  dividends or the stock buyback program

Nothing  about  etc, etc etc......

I had a similar reaction when I received the same email from eBay, shortly after  I received a message from a buyer saying

"It shows you take Paypal but when I tried to pay it shows to pay with a credit card or applepay. I don't get this. Why is eBay forcing buyers to use applepay? Some of my favorite book sellers same thing shows paypal as a pay option upon checkout it won't take it. Frustrating. I wanted this. I'm on an IPhone with no access to a computer."

This is the first time, at least that I know of, that my sales have been adversely affected by the changes.

I got the same message and hit delete I sell vintage paper dolls and these young'uns don't even know what they ARE, much less HOW to price them!!! A lot of what I sell is very rare so I know what I'm doing and don't appreciate the input. If they spent MORE time getting my items SEEN, I could make BOTH of us more money!!! Idgits.

the answer is very simple ! E-bay is not working that is why sales are way down ! I hope the new CEO is real and takes the right steps to go back to the basics that do work ! Which is pay pal, listing duration of a sellers choice ! and first rule would be scrap the mangled payments. That is just a total mess ! Also Show listings fairly ! We pay for that service and hire them to do so ! Those would be some good first steps.

I'm with you guys, i received the same email, and needless to say i was offended!!

Like somehow im too blame for my sales being down, i will take 50% of the blame but where is my partner that i pay monthly to help me ( ebay ) ?

Also the fact that they picked 95% of my store to blame, saying "this or that" is wrong with my listing and showing no real data to back it up, Especially now that i see its a blanket email to everyone. I guess us sellers are the problem?

They kick out their CEO, and then start to blame us? what a joke! Watch your self Ebay you dont have the britches to compete with most other mediums, and ticking off your bread & butter is like slapping a hungry pitbull
