     There are a lot of factors when it comes to art: artist, medium, signed, framed, size, age, condition......... It would be difficult to say between pencil and acrylic which one is better just based on one of those two factors.

Do a few of each and list them.  You may find there is a market for both.  There are art collectors for all types of mediums, styles and topics.
