Without measurements @atlasesattic, the responses you get will be less targeted. Some kind of holder/stand/rack that holds 4 items, but no clue of the size to say whether it would hold wine bottles or tooth brushes. How tall, how wide is base, how wide are the slots on the top piece?

With the wood knob on top I say a tobacco pipe stand. The design is also old style.

The pipe bowls would fit nicely into those slots (depending on the size). I come from a family of pipe smokers so could see that as an application, though it's a little upscale for my people - we just had ashtrays full of stray pipes.

The wooden knob sort of adds to that aesthetic.
