Does Ebay remove product ratings to control sales of high Selling product.

I had a product that started selling alot on ebay I would sell 4 to 6 a day for a while more than a month it was selling alot everyday. I had 5 star - 27 ratings on the product. Then all of a sudden my ratings disappeared and now I only sell 1 to 2 a day since those ratings disapeared.

Do you mean 'reviews" ?  Those are attached to the product and not to the seller.

Or do you mean your own feedback? That is attached to your account and not to the product.

I know it's jargon, but there is a place for jargon when discussing among peers.

We often see complaints from sellers that  an unhappy or dumb buyer has attached what should be seller feedback to a product review.   Then those reviews turn up on other sellers' listings of the same product. I wonder if eBay has actually listened to those complaints and removed some of them? That might affect reviews of your product, from sales by other sellers.

But mostly, if there are 100 Shinies listed and 101 buyers of Shinies shopping, sales will be good.

But if there are 100 Shinies listed and only 85 buyers of Shinies, sales will do well until all 85 buyers have their Shiny. Then there are no more buyers.

It's retail. Sales rise and fall. Don't compare sales to last week or even last month. Compare to this time last year and the year before that.

Keeping records is important for your peace of mind.

As for the conspiracy-- any sale brings eBay fees. Small sellers pay HIGHER fees than big sellers who have TRS, Store/ PowerSeller /etc discounts on their fees.

Why would eBay want to turn down a 10% cut of a small seller's sales in favour of a 9.1% or smaller cut of a large seller's sales?
