Did you mean:

Do buyers even check the "handling time" anymore? What do you do when buyers get impatient?

Ok, so I'm not an active eBay seller. Usually just your "once a year spring cleaning seller". When I am in my spring cleaning mode, I usually only have two days out of the week that I ship stuff. I set my handling time to 5 days and it is usually always 5 days or less than for me to ship an item. But I purposely overestimate.

However, I am always bombarded with messages 1-2 days after a sale. "Did you ship my item yet??". Or after I do ship it "why is it taking so long?".

What do you guys do in this case?

@gamersbaystore

Incorrect handling times show in the shipping page of listings

I leave feedback on shipment with the date of shipping.  I rarely track but I sometimes put the tracking number in the FB if there is one.

Part of the reason for this is the lack of tracking, part is to reassure the customer, and part is to remind them that their shipment is coming from Canada.

I use the normal method of dating, not the US one,  20/12/2022 rather than 12/20/2022, and give the service as Canada Post.

It seems to help.
