Per Trinton on another thread:
"If this requires further discussion, I encourage you to begin a new thread as off eBay links are not related to the matter of receiving contact info from a buyer as is being discussed here. Additionally, in the future you can report any concerns you have directly within the listing and we will review the account."
Many of us have reported such links and have observed that the links remain in those listings.
Exactly what are the rules on that and how does a seller get permission to do so? Is it simply a matter of being a high volume retail type seller who can negotiate a special contract?

"all sellers on ebay.com have to follow the same rules".
OK - prove it. Let's see those links removed!

Can you say Toys R Us?....for some reason, ebay can't, but they take their money.
Can you direct me to a TRU listing that has outside links? I remember seeing them many years ago but I just skimmed though a couple of dozen of their listings and I'm not seeing them.
The print is pretty small so it might just be my bad eyes.

Were kinda partial to 'The Giraffe' when referencing them.
When they started, we all sat and watched all of the negative feedback scrubbed right before our eyes. Now they seem to keep it at body temperature, instead of 97.3 or so .... but we stopped watching the scubbing a long time ago(ran out of popcorn).

When I picked the first listing I found, it was for a Minecraft item. So search for one of those and look for the 'Minecraft Store' link.

Can you refresh me about the question Trinton was responding to? Since some types of links are allowed I'm not sure which ones you are referring to when you state "Such links".

They have a combined neutral/negative of almost 3% for the month...lots of apparent no-ships...
And I doubt you are seeing their actual neg/neutral feedback .........

The links that take you off-site from ebay to their own website to purchase from there.

Thanks.....
I found a few there that had the link but a few more that didn't. Maybe they are slowly removing them?

We all know eBay gives special concessions to certain sellers and we all know they will never admit it.

I'm not referring to any specific seller or store or brand. I've seen it on a few different ones and in member-to-member messages. I just want to know how a seller gets permission to do it.

I was hoping someone wouod be able to explain how or why this is done. Maybe something like the usernames that are URLs, or the store/brand logos in search results.
