Just got a message from another user asking to send an invoice for an item here is what they said
"good afternoon,
i bought a (blank) a few days ago and it was sent to my sister in florida.
but I need the purchase invoice or an equivalent notifying that it is used, for a procedure.
It will be a lot of trouble if they will send it to me by email."
The username is a bunch of numbers. The one who bought it from me has zero feedback. But I still got paid through e-bay. Anything I should be worried about?

- Is the buyer not the one you refer to as 'another user'? Hmmm...
- The purchase invoice (or an equivalent) could be a packing slip. I don't know why the reference to a 'procedure'.
- I agree that sending it through eBay messages will suit you better than an email. But I don't like sending anything to a third party.
I don't know if there's a worry concern or not... this is a new one on me. It sounds dicey. Good luck.

I would ignore him, send him nothing, (emails). Make sure you have payment in your PayPal account, not just eBay.

If you dare communicate with him... tell him to get it from his sister.

If someone bought something from you and it shows payed and ok to ship...ONLY SHIP TO ADDRESS SHOWN ON EBAY CHECK OUT, DO NOT SHIP TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS. Do not send anything to the person that email you. Block the person requesting the invoice if not the actual buyer (and does not sound like it is) ether via eBay or your email depending on how it was sent.

Completely ignore him and block his user ID. Nothing good can come from this going forward if you communicate with him. Sounds like he's from another country. Maybe a prelude to a scam I've never heard of yet. And DO NOT let him get your regular email address.

@keeper000
Buyer might be having it forwarded to another country and need something for customs.
If you do respond, tell them you can deal with the original members Id and if it's their sister, they can message you from the original ID.

The first thing that comes to mind is he is using a forwarding service in Florida.

I wouldn't send them anything or even respond. You don't know who they are, they are not the buyer, even though they are (falsely?)claiming to have bought the"blank" from you, you don't know what they are up to, and their reason for wanting an invoice is rather ambiguous...

Did that message come from the buyer of that item or from someone else? Was the ID on the message the same as the ID that bought your item that they are asking about?

EXACTLY!!!!!

Personally i would leave this alone (ignore and do nothing - esp. contacting off site)... not your problem at all - a Buyer purchased - you shipped. Let it play itself out, as long as all of your 'ducks are in a row' (i.e tracking, timely shipping, shipped to Buyers address, etc.) you should have little to worry about.
As for this Member saying "it would be a lot of trouble to send by email" - well tough! - they were able to contact you easy enough, the 'sister can send them all the required information when the item arrives.

Any information needed for a "procedure" is available in the buyer's purchase history.
And can be printed from there.
Sister should be able to print, scan and email to him.

Dear buyer.
I cannot discuss transactions with a third party.
Please log in tho the account that you purhased the item with.
Go to "Purchase History" and send me a message on the actual purchased item.
You can also get an invoice from the Purchase History of that account.
Use the dropdown menu next to the item and select "Order Details" and then click on "Printer friendly page"
If you purchased as a Guest, follow the directions on the email that you received when you purchased.
Thank You.

Okay - never mind my question - I missed that you actually stated right in the subject line that this message came from someone else. My bad.
I think the reason for them asking you for a copy of the invoice is that they want to see who bought it. There is really nothing else on an invoice that they could not already see by just looking at the Sold listing. I would just ignore the whole thing although I do also like the reply that penguins dont fly is suggesting in the reply before mine.
