I am having a problem with a product I sold. I sent a package with Priority Mail and it was scanned out for delivery but was never scanned as 'delivered'. It has been 14 days since and I have called the post office multiple times to find out what happened. They said it went out for delivery but they are not sure what happened after that. The buyer has not contacted me so I believe he received the product. My payment has been on hold with PayPal because there is no proof of delivery yet. Will PayPal hold this money indefinitely or will they release the funds even without proof of delivery? I would appreciate any and all guidance on this issue. Thank you!

Call PayPal and explain to them what has happened. They would be in the best position to let you know about the hold.

I believe after 21 days as long as their is no open case by the buyer, paypal will release your funds.
You might have to call them on day 22 to ask them to do so.

If tracking shows delivery, do that.

Thank you all for the information. After 16 days waiting and calling million times to USPS, they updated my delivery status to delivered! Finally!

I solved this problem a long time ago - by not paying any attention to the delivery status unless the buyer contacts me with an issue.
My solution would have saved you time, stress and millions phone calls - and resulted in the exact same outcome.
