Deleting my own sold items

My items are still being shown in my active section after being sold and after a long period of time and i have to delete those listings. Ebay causing issues with buyers buying the same item from the same seller because the item is still active even after being sold. And not to mention creating variations is bullcrap also not allowing us to create anything different than trading cards. My variations only show up if i have trading cards as a title. We should be able to create variations with anything we have thats different but in the same catagory of items. Like hotwheels for example. Reason we cant do it its because they make money on each listing we do. There are a ton of hidden fees going on we dont know about. No wonder why i get more sales on other apps. Alot more

It might be because you are listing as Good Till Cancelled AND you have the Out Of Stock option turned on.

If one of those listings has a quantity of 1 and it sells the listing does not end, it just gets flagged at "out of stock" and doesn't appear in search but it's still active and will keep renewing every 30 days that's when you get hit with another listing fee.

The out of stock option is designed for multi-quantity listings where the seller will be restocking soon and wants to keep the listing history.

Either switch to simple 30 day listings and/or turn off the Out Of Stock option (Site Preferences) and your issues will probably go away.

Variation listings were NEVER intended to work the way you want and for good reason.

Also eBay fees are only hidden if you don't read the Fee List.

The good 'til cancelled duration accompanied with out of stock setting is a reason why your listing would still be active after being sold, but it would not explain why buyers could keep purchasing the same item. That could only happen if your listing had an incorrect quantity entered.

If you only have one and it sells, the quantity would go down to zero and customers would not be able to purchase more even if the listing is still active.
