Defect % Change...Why?

Maybe I am not understanding having one solo defect and the percentage rate will get higher every month?IMG_3882.JPG.

IMG_4814.JPG.

First time I ever had one for refunding a buyer.

So why is it going up?

Defect % Change...Why?

The rate will go up when your number of transactions in the past 12 months decreases.

The rate will go down when your number of transactions in the past 12 months increases.

It's based on past 12 months which means transactions dropped off the count today Sept 20 2024 during the monthly eval - it's a rolling total.

Today's actual eval covers Aug 01, 2023 - Jul 31, 2024

Today's "if we evaluated you today" rates (the section you're looking at) covers Sep 01, 2023 - Aug 31, 2024

Come Oct 20 the "if we evaluated you today" rates will cover Oct 01,  2023 - Sep 30, 2024

----------

Edit: providing some rough numbers.

Second screenshot shows 1 of 404 transactions is 0.25%

First screenshot doesn't show number of transactions, but we can estimate 1 of 476 is 0.21%

Which means between the time of the first and second screenshots, your total 12 mo rolling transaction count dropped from approx 476 to 404.

With a defect rate of 0.25% you are fine. No worries.

Defect % Change...Why?

You don't need help because you only have 1 defect. When the count is below 3 it doesn't matter if it's 0.25% or 25% unless you're trying to maintain TRS status and you don't currently have TRS status so ... doesn't matter what that percent is. You're fine.

Adding some clarity:

If you're wondering why the screenshot says Below Standard at 2% - that's true only if you have a certain number of defects.

From the policy page:

- You're allowed up to 2% of transactions with defects within an evaluation period.

You'll only be evaluated as Below Standard if your transaction defects are associated with more than 4 different buyers.

So, like I said, your defect rate can be 25% and it won't matter because you're not TRS and you only have 1 defect.
