Declined Offer Messages/Notes That Go Unheard

Do you ever go into your listings, Review the previous offers and see the messages/notes from buyers attached to the offers they decline?

Even better yet, when you send an unsolicited offer, so they are anonymous, they decline with a note that includes "message me if you'll take XX" or something of the sort.

You never see their note unless you go digging for it and it doesn't matter anyways because you don't know who they are.

Buyers are given a false perception that you get the message and that you know who they are.

I don't think it's a HUGE deal, but it can give the appearance of poor customer service.

Yes, I believe that has happened to me.

How would we go about asking ebay to fix this?

Maybe since it's something that would help a BUYER, ebay would take notice.

Drop the message box all togerher when Declining an offer?

Hey... they have the message box there when you Accept an Offer too.... WHY!?!? WHO THE HECK IS GOING TO GO LOOKING FOR AND READ A MESSAGE ATTACHED TO AN ACCEPTANCE !?!?!

IMO the message box should ONLY be there for Counter Offers, as that's the only time it's really appropriate and the only time anyone is paying attention.

ETA it happens to me 24/7. I go looking at old offers to review how many Ive sent, what the prices were, and also I go in to see if there were declines, how many and if they said anything what did they say? I do this because I'm consciouly aware of it, but I'm only looking at specific listings. If I've been sending what I consider generous offers, and it hasnt sold, I may go look and see why. Sometimes I see a couple declines that read "Thank you, but I just bought another. I wish i got your offer first, I wouldve taken it, I ended up paying more!" Tells me price is right, offer was slow. ...... I'm also glad I don't see all the Decline messages though... some flat out infuriate me with the ridiculous things people say. Usually just insane lowballs or nuts comments.  Nothing truly offensive or harassing, just ones that I'm glad I didnt see at the time and didnt have a chance to respond to.
