A buyer recently requested a refund for a phone that "didn't match the description" because it had "too many scratches." The phone was refurbished with a brand new display and only had a few small scuffs on the frame...
Anyways, I received the return and find that the display is cracked and the earpiece speaker grill is missing. I tried to give a partial refund to the buyer for the damaged item but that option is not offered to me by eBay. How can I resolve this case?

Not much you can do, but give the buyer a full refund.

Once buyer returns the item, you can resolve by refunding in full.
No other choice.
