Correct Item Descriptons no longer protect you !! YOU are now FORCED to ACCEPT RETURNS
This to me is a VIOLATION of eBay's very own policy which states "under the eBay Money Back Guarantee the buyer can still return an item if it doesn't match the listing description. "
Let me start off by stating that I have multiple seller accounts and have been here for nearly 20 years now
Ebay has generally had my back through the years whenever buyers filed bogus or false Return claims WHENEVER I COULD GET THE BUYER TO ADMIT that he made the mistake, but within the last month this has all changed. I have now been told repeatedly by Ebay CS Reps to accept a return EVEN when the buyer ADMITS IN WRITING that they failed to read the Ad Description and yet are complaining about the very flaws THAT I MENTIONED AND PHOTOGRAPHED UP CLOSE!! More troubling is when A buyer ADMITS that he bought a driver's side item, instead of the passenger's side item and yet I AM FORCED TO TAKE THE RETURN AND PAY FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING!!
In the past whenever I managed to get the buyer to admit a mistake ebay would immediately close the claim in my favor without any waiting period. Within the past 4 weeks now however on 5 different items I have been told by an ebay CS Rep that "YES you described the item accurately and disclosed the flaws in writing BUT YOU STILL MUST ACCEPT THE RETURN." then they add "of course you can Appeal this decision once you get the item back" ...REALLY? FOR WHAT PURPOSE?? You HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION IN FRONT OF YOU RIGHT NOW AND YOU ARE RULING AGAINST ME!!
So even though I am NOT at fault, I'm STILL BLAMED and NOW these FALSE Buyer Return Claims could end up costing me 4% more in FVF!
THIS INJUSTICE HAS MY BLOOD BOILING !!

If you're referring to the process of losing false SNADs (which I think you are), then yes you are correct. There is really nothing we can do to protect ourselves from that... aside from getting lucky and hitting an agent that will at least force the buyer to pay for return shipping. You can forget about finding an agent to close the case in your favor anymore. That's what ebay is now. Stinks huh...

Actually I stand corrected... there is ONE thing you can do. Although it is very minimal, PLEASE report any buyer you think is filing false SNADs or you feel is doing anything inappropriate. I report all buyers who are clearly filing false SNADs. Hopefully those buyers will rack up enough so that ebay will take away their returns privileges. But it won't happen if we never report them.

Yeah man what ticks me off THE MOST is that by their own words ebay is violating their own seller protection policy.
IF YOU DESCRIBE IT ACCURATELY and the buyer is complaing about that which you described accurately then it should be CASE CLOSED in seller's favor!
What BLOWS MY MIND is that WE SELLERS ARE EBAY'S CUSTOMERS and yet THEY expect us to do something THAT THEY THEMSELVES DO NOT DO FOR US!!!
It is like THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!

Unfortunately, in today's eBay environment you are correct since there is no way for a seller to dispute any SNAD claims made by a buyer. Alas! The seller is pretty much dependent on the buyer's integrity which often appears to be lacking.

The new ebay: Buyer doesn't want your item anymore for any reason whatsoever and ebay will make the seller pay for this and to add insult to injury give seller a defect.

Yes, this process changed earlier this year; CS reps are apparently no longer able to close out SNAD cases while on the phone. While I understand your position, I also believe the old process was widely abused in the past, and that low level CS reps were really not the right persons to wield that sort of power.
I think that "managed to get the buyer to admit a mistake" was part of the problem. eBay is not looking for sellers and buyers to do battle, and certainly doesn't want to get dragged into one.

Along this same line, the other trend I am seeing is that when seller list something in the Parts/repair category with no returns, eBay likes to come along and force a return when a buyer decides they can't fix the item, or when they don't take 5 seconds to read the details.
eBay would do well to follow it's own policies instead of steamrolling sellers because they can't risk upsetting a buyer who clearly is not grown up enough to order online. More than once, the policy would be clear, I had done everything required by me, and I would get a buyer who is completely unreasonable and out of control, yet eBay would try and push me into going against their own rules.
When this happens I refuse to budge and it always ends up with eBay throwing money at scammers or bad buyers, then telling me to keep the money....and people wonder why fees are going up and benefits are being diminished when eBay likes to give our seller fees away to lousy buyers and con artists.

Correct description - yes as you see it. But you can miss things, I know I have.
And things can get damaged in shipping, caught in machines, at the mercy of ape like carriers throwing it here and there.
Sometimes the buyer is correct, it is not as described.

I agree, but there should be some sort of review process and not the simple taking of one sides viewpoint every time.
